Update: More than 100 "bricks" have been sold! Thank you so much for your support. We expect that this first installment of the "road" will be in place by December 22. Please note, though, that bricks will be on sale for quite some time, and new sections of the road will be installed every couple of months. Thousands of area families have visited the Johnstown Children's Museum since its June 2009 opening. Now you can express your support of the museum -- and leave your mark on it forever -- by helping pave the Yellow Brick Road. Each brick in the Yellow Brick Road will be inscribed with the names of families, children and grandchildren -- anyone you wish to remember or honor. It will stretch along the Johnstown Timewarp gallery of the museum, greeting all who visit. All JAHA museums are made possible through the support of the Johnstown community. We also offer an extensive schedule of children's programming and special events. Proceeds from the Yellow Brick Road will support the children's museum and associated programs -- as well as all other programs and museums of the Johnstown Area Heritage Association.
Bricks Yellow Brick Road bricks are made of a laminate flooring material that will be permanently installed at the museum. They make great gifts at the holidays or for any special occasion! Orders received by December 4 will be installed before Christmas; afterward, we will install new bricks every two months. A maximum of four lines and 160 characters (including spaces) are possible; shorter names and messages will be printed in a larger font size.
