Johnstown's Immigration History

The Frank & Sylvia Pasquerilla Heritage Discovery Center, part of the Johnstown Discovery Network, is a community center that contains several attractions: the "America: Through Immigrant Eyes" exhibit; the Johnstown Children's Museum; the Iron & Steel Gallery; and two additional galleries. It also houses the Galliker's Cafe and the 4th Floor Ethnic Social Club. The HDC is operated by the Johnstown Area Heritage Association (JAHA). Welcome!

Admissions & Hours

Admission to the Heritage Discovery Center is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, and $6 for children from 3-18 (children 2 and under are free). Admission covers all exhibits and amenities at the facility, including the Johnstown Children's Museum, "America: Through Immigrant Eyes," the Iron & Steel Gallery featuring "Mystery of Steel,", the second-floor galleries and fifth-floor galleries. Your ticket also includes one visit to all JAHA-owned museums in the Johnstown Discovery Network, including the Johnstown Flood Museum, which is also operated by the Johnstown Area Heritage Association. The Wagner-Ritter House & Garden is open on a seasonal schedule (see the Wagner-Ritter House & Garden's admissions page for details), and your ticket is also good for admission to this house museum when it is open.

Tickets may be used for one visit per museum over a 5-day period, so it is not necessary to see all museums on the same day. Plan to see all museums on your visit -- and for more information on the Johnstown Discovery Network and other heritage attractions in the Johnstown area, visit the Johnstown Discovery Network section of this site.

We are also pleased to offer a 20% discount to active members of the military. Please present your military ID to receive this discount.

The Johnstown Flood Museum is located about a half-mile from the Heritage Discovery Center and Wagner-Ritter House & Garden. Museum staff will be happy to direct you.
