Peoples Natural Gas to fund park construction -- In a special event held Monday, May 23, the Johnstown Area Heritage Association (producers of the festival) announced that Peoples Natural Gas is donating $500,000 toward the completion of what will be known as Peoples Natural Gas Park (formerly Festival Park), the home of the festival. Construction will begin soon, and although it will not be complete in time for the 2011 event, the new Peoples Natural Gas Park will provide a wonderful home for the music festival, other large events in Johnstown, and will act as a catalyst for new events as well. For much more on the new park, visit the Peoples Natural Gas Park section of this website. |
