| | Volunteer Opportunities | The AmeriServ Flood City Music Festival will need volunteers for the 2011 festival, Aug. 5-7!
It takes hundreds of volunteers to make the event happen each year - before, during and after the festival. Volunteering is a great way to be part of the festival. Also, volunteering is a great way for students to fulfill service-hour requirements -- just ask, and JAHA staff will fill out any necessary paperwork for you.
No matter what time commitment you're able to make, we can find a volunteering opportunity for you. Everyone from school-aged kids to senior citizens is welcome! What's more, all volunteers receive a AmeriServ Flood City Music Festival T-shirt, and will receive free admission on the day(s) they volunteer.
A variety of volunteer jobs are available -- for more info about volunteering, contact Gwen Hartnett by e-mail or at JAHA offices, 814-539-1889. Gwen will help you select a shift and job, and a reminder letter will be sent to you the week before the festival with information on how to check in on the day(s) you work.
Note that we always need cleanup and reset volunteers during the event itself, immediately after the festival closes each evening and before it opens each day. If you can help, just show up at the festival command center. One of our greatest needs is cleanup and reset volunteers on Sunday morning before the festival opens for its final day. If you or your group can help, please let us know, or just show up on Sunday morning. Thanks!
If you have not volunteered at the festival and would like to be on our mailing list, please contact Gwen Hartnett by e-mail or at JAHA offices, 814-539-1889.
