If It Ain't Broke, Break It
A doctor discovers that he has only six months to live. He decides to make a list of six friends whose lives he will improve through matchmaking and career and personality changes. The more he realizes that his matchmaking is futile and his friends are worse off, the harder he tries to help. He can't stand it that his friends are merely happy, he wants them happier, at any cost, to them, of course. Now the friends are trying to get him. Since he's dying he shouldn't care, right? Or should he? The First Commonwealth Johnstown Film Festival is delighted to welcome the family-friendly farce If It Ain't Broke, Break It as the festival's feature film, to be shown at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 16 at the Johnstown Flood Museum. Tickets are $5 and may be bought at the door. If It Ain't Broke, Break It was made by filmmaker Ravi Godse in Pittsburgh, and stars Steve Guttenberg, Sabrina Bryan, Rondell Sheridan and Richard Kind, with a special appearance by Pittsburgh Steelers Hall-of-Famer Franco Harris. Click here for more about the cast. Immediately preceding If It Ain't Broke, we will also screen a trailer for "Minefield," a documentary by Autonomi Productions currently under production. Thousands of children around the world are killed or maimed every year by landmines. "Minefield" is a documentary about Scotty Lee, a soccer coach and native of England who is living in Johnstown. Lee, through a charity called Spirit of Soccer, works with children living in some of the most dangerous areas of the world, using their love for football to teach them how to survive.
