 Pittsburgh Filmmakers -- Pittsburgh Filmmakers is one of the largest and oldest independent media arts centers in the country. Founded in 1971 to provide media-making tools to artists, Pittsburgh Filmmakers serves everyone from emerging artists to established artists to fellow non-profit organizations and students. Pittsburgh Filmmakers produces the Three Rivers Film Festival, which is the region's largest annual film festival. The Johnstown Film & Wine Festival thanks Pittsburgh Filmmakers for their assistance in promoting our event. |
 Berks Movie Madness -- The annual Berks Movie Madness Film Festival is held annually in Reading, PA in early October. A film shorts competition is included as part of the festival, which also features workshops and seminars.

Harmony Ridge Film Festival-- The first annual Harmony Ridge Film Festival (March 28, 2009; located about 20 minutes north of Pittsburgh) is a celebration of the independent filmmaker. The festival accepts films of 30 minutes or shorter, and deadline for submittal is February 15, 2009.
