Rosemary Pawlowski is honored for her work establishing and sustaining the Bottle Works Ethnic Arts Center, which preserves and celebrates the cultural diversity of the region through the arts, including music, dance, costuming, foodways and literary traditions. Pawlowski was a founding member and served as president of the board from 1992-2000, all on a volunteer basis.
In 2000 she became executive director, and has filled that role ever since as the Bottle Works continued to grow.
Programming presented at the Bottle Works includes exhibits, films, cooking classes, workshops, lectures, and more. It is part of the emerging cultural district of Cambria City, along with its sister organization, Art Works in Johnstown, the Heritage Discovery Center, Venue of Merging Arts and others.
The Bottle Works Ethnic Arts Center is the former Tulip Bottling Company. In 2011, a two-story tile mosaic of tulips constructed entirely by volunteers was installed on the facade of the building.
Pawlowski's service also includes:- Vice-president of the board, Art Works in Johnstown
