Morley's Dog is a Victorian-era statue that was washed away in the great Johnstown flood of 1889, but was recovered and eventually donated to the city. Since then, Morley's Dog has become a beloved Johnstown icon. But the statue is badly in need of restoration. This section of the Johnstown Area Heritage Association (JAHA) site tells you all about the history of Morley's Dog and how you can help save Johnstown's best friend.

How You Can Help
You can help save Morley's Dog by donating to this campaign. There are three ways to contribute:

• Mail your donation to JAHA, PO Box 1889, Johnstown, PA 15907. Mark your check "Morley's Dog Restoration Fund."

• Call JAHA at 814-539-1889 to make a donation via credit card.

• Drop off your donation at the Heritage Discovery Center, 7th & Broad Streets, or at the Johnstown Flood Museum, 304 Washington Street.

A limited quantity of Morley's Dog T-shirts are also on sale for $15 in the gift shops of the Heritage Discovery Center and Johnstown Flood Museum; they are also available in JAHA's online museum store. For every T-shirt sold, five dollars of the purchase price will go directly into the conservation fund.
