Telegraph sounder, owned by the Pennsylvania Railroad. This may be the equipment that was used on the day of the flood to transmit warnings from South Fork to Johnstown’s Western Union telegraph operator, Hettie Ogle.

This medical kit belonged to Dr. Joseph Campbell Wakefield, a Johnstown doctor, who began giving medical aid immediately after the flood although his office had been destroyed. He was soon joined by dozens of outside physicians who took part in the medical relief effort following the flood.

These railroad spikes, supposedly found next to the Stone Bridge, were bought by Mr. Armor at a “flood relic” auction that raised money for the relief fund.
