Peoples Natural Gas Park
The Tribune-Democrat will present the third annual edition of this ice festival at Peoples Natural Gas Park! The family-friendly event is free this year, and will feature ice sculptures, ice sculpting demonstrations, food vendors, live music, and kids’ activities. Alcoholic beverages will be available for sale, too — please bring your ID!
The one-day festival benefits the Tribune-Democrat’s Newspapers in Education program, which provides free newspapers, curriculum guides, special supplements and other educational materials to local schools.
Schedule is as follows:
11:30 am-6:00 pm: ice carving demonstrations by eight carvers, 30 ice sculptures on display, food and beverage sales (currently confirmed food vendors include The Phoenix, Baker’s Loaf, The Working Cow, Cob’s Kettle Corn); DJ JR McAfee; heat by Shaffers Bottled Gas
11:30 am-4:00 pm: Kids’ activities by Macaroni Kid, Hogue’s Fun Factory
11:30 am-2:00 pm: Classic Clowns
12:00-5:00 pm: Horse-drawn carriage ridges by Misty Haven Carriage Rides (nominal fee)
12:00-1:30 pm: Live music (Red Paint)
1:45-2:00 pm: Magician Bob Beatty
2:00-3:45 pm: Live music (Octane)
4:15-4:30 pm: Magician Bob Beatty
4:00-5:45: Live music (Who’s Your Daddy)
