Group Tours & Services
Group Tours & Services

The Johnstown Discovery Network appeals to groups of all ages - seniors, students and everyone in between! We can arrange a tour with a special admission rate for any group of 10 or more -- but tours should be arranged in advance with Kim Baxter at 814-539-1889 x 311.

Group rates for just one site are available, but combination rates for the Heritage Discovery Center (including the new Johnstown Children's Museum and Iron & Steel Gallery, Wagner-Ritter House & Garden, and the Johnstown Flood Museum are an even better value - so plan to visit all three sites! The museums, which are located a half-mile apart, make for a wonderful day of sightseeing. (Note that although the Wagner-Ritter House & Garden is open on a seasonal schedule, we will open it anytime for groups with advance notice.)
Additional group services available include:

  • Free education programs for student groups, available on this Web site -- There are several separate programs for the Heritage Discovery Center, Johnstown Flood Museum, and Wagner-Ritter House & Garden, all including pre-, post- and on-site activities designed to help teachers and student group leaders make the most out of a visit to us. These programs allow students to use primary and secondary research materials to explore themes relevant to our museums, and all meet Pennsylvania state education standards. Click on the hotlink to browse these exciting activities.

  • Catered lunches served on-site at the Heritage Discovery Center. Hot catered buffet lunches are available with a variety of menus. We can also cater pizza, sandwiches, wraps and other simpler lunches from our Galliker's Cafe. Call for pricing.

  • Step-on guides are available to help your group get the most out of your trip to Johnstown. Your guide can meet your bus at any Johnstown-area attraction, and share fascinating stories about the flood and Johnstown's history as you travel between attractions.

  • Bus parking -- Free, dedicated bus parking is available.
