The Wagner-Ritter House: 2nd floor
Furnished with pieces from the house, this room represents the early 1900s. The furniture is a combination of Victorian and Edwardian furniture. The oak pieces are from the turn of the century and the bed is from the 1870s or 1880s. It had a more elaborate head board which was "modernized." Here again the family's religion is presented by religious art. The Shrine on the far wall is not original to the house. It is one of the shrines of the blessed virgin, produced after 1889 to recognize the purported miracle of the statue of the Virgin Mary rising above the flood waters in Cambria City.
