The Johnstown Film Festival just got better with the addition of “Behind the Scenes with Max Fedore,” a Friday, Sept. 7 showcase at the Johnstown Flood Museum. Fedore, a Johnstown native, will share his journey from Johnstown Film Festival Student Award Winner to Student Academy Award Winner.

The evening will feature screenings of some of Max’s short films created during his time at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, including “Happy Days Are Here Again,” “Hoe, Hoe, Hoe,” and “ASCENSION” as well as insight into the creative process of filmmaking.

“Behind the Scenes with Max Fedore” will take place at 7:30 pm on Friday, Sept. 7 at the Johnstown Flood Museum’s Robert Waters Theater. Tickets are $7 and will be available in advance (beginning Sunday, Aug. 12) and at the door. Patrons are encouraged to buy advance tickets at the Heritage Discovery Center, as space is limited to 76 (the number of seats in the Johnstown Flood Museum theater).

Writer/Director Max R. A. Fedore is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the
Arts. His thesis film, OPERA OF CRUELTY, was recognized by his alma mater with the First
Prize at the 2017 First Run Film Festival as well as the Directing Award and 8 Craft Awards. The
film went on to win the Gold Medal in the Alternative Category of the 2017 Student Academy
Awards. Max currently lives in New York and is writing his next cinematic spectacle.
