The festival is intended to promote the work of filmmakers and artists from Johnstown (and the surrounding region), and to facilitate a filmmaking community. It was produced from 2007-2015, and we are delighted to bring it back in 2018.
Scene One: A Day at the Movie Studio will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Penn Highlands Richland Campus and will include seminars about “European Cinema,” “Transgenders in Film,” and “The Greatest Films You Never Saw.” The student award-winning film “A Story” will be shown, as well as other films produced by Penn Highlands students. Admission is free.
Scene Two: Opening Night presented by The Tax Lady, LLC will be presented at the Heritage Discovery Center. Doors open at 7:00, with movies beginning at 7:45. Tickets are $10 ($8 for JAHA members), and are available in advance at the Heritage Discovery Center or at the door. Films are not rated for content, so viewer discretion is advised.
Advance tickets to “Behind the Scenes with Max Fedore” (Sept. 7) and Scene Two: Opening Night (Sept. 8) are available at the Heritage Discovery Center, or may be purchased at the door.
