The Johnstown Flood Museum and Heritage Discovery Center/Johnstown Children’s Museum are adopting winter opening hours beginning the week of Jan. 3. We will be open Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 am-5 pm, and Sun. noon-5 pm (closed Tuesday and Wednesday). Because Cambria County is currently experiencing high community spread of COVID-19, we are now requiring staff and visitors to wear masks (face shields alone are not adequate). Please visit the children’s museum COVID protocols page for more information specific to that museum. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Welcome!

Johnstown Film Festival

The film festival returns on Oct. 3, 2020!

The festival is intended to promote the work of filmmakers and artists from Johnstown (and the surrounding region), and to facilitate a filmmaking community. The call for entries is open now through July 13, 2020.

The festival will be presented at Peoples Natural Gas Park, inside the Community Foundation Oilhouse (which was recently equipped with acoustic tiles, greatly improving the quality of sound inside the facility).

Doors open at 7:00, with movies beginning at 7:30. Tickets are $10 ($8 for JAHA members), and will be available in advance at the Heritage Discovery Center or at the door. Films are not rated for content, so viewer discretion is advised.
