Please see the calendar below for the current operating schedule of the Johnstown Flood Museum and Heritage Discovery Center — our hours have changed. The Johnstown Children’s Museum has been closed since March, but is opening to MEMBERS ONLY Aug. 13-15 and Aug. 20-22 — please see our latest blog post with details. A public opening is scheduled for the last week of August. Stay tuned for updates!

In accordance with PA guidelines, visitors and employees must wear masks, and are asked to observe social distancing while in our facilities. We are taking additional steps, such as sanitizing surfaces frequently. Welcome!

In the United States, November is time for Thanksgiving and giving thanks. We have many traditions based on food and family. Thanksgiving is celebrated in different ways in different cultures. Many of these holidays are centered around the harvest and happen around the same time of year as our American Thanksgiving. All month long, we’ll learn about other traditions across the globe.

This weekend, we’ll write thank you cards and design our own candies to celebrate Japan’s Labor Thanksgiving!
