Please see the calendar below for the current operating schedules of the Johnstown Flood Museum, Heritage Discovery Center/Johnstown Children’s Museum. Visitors to the Johnstown Children’s Museum (which is located on the third floor of the Heritage Discovery Center) are encouraged to RSVP 539-1889 before your visit, as we are limiting the number of families in the museum at any given time — see the children’s museum COVID information page for details on our scheduling and safety protocol. RSVPs are not needed to visit the Johnstown Flood Museum or the other attractions in the Heritage Discovery Center.

In accordance with PA guidelines, visitors and employees must wear masks, and are asked to observe social distancing while in our facilities. We are taking additional steps to ensure safety, such as sanitizing surfaces frequently. Welcome!

 

Location and Parking

The park’s physical address is 90 Johns Street, as marked by the red pin in the Google map below; the park encompasses the triangular-shaped plot of land bounded by Iron Street, Johns Street, and the Stonycreek River in the map below.

You can approach the site over the Walnut Street Bridge or Johns Street Bridge.

Parking

For most events, park in the Conemaugh “I” lots across Iron Street from the Johnstown Train Station. There is also street parking available along Iron Street and Walnut Street.
