The Johnstown Flood Museum and Heritage Discovery Center/Johnstown Children’s Museum are adopting winter opening hours beginning the week of Jan. 3. We will be open Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 am-5 pm, and Sun. noon-5 pm (closed Tuesday and Wednesday). Because Cambria County is currently experiencing high community spread of COVID-19, we are now requiring staff and visitors to wear masks (face shields alone are not adequate). Please visit the children’s museum COVID protocols page for more information specific to that museum. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Welcome!

Wagner-Ritter House & Garden

Step into the Wagner-Ritter House and Garden to experience the 19th-century German culture at the holidays. The Wagners immigrated from Bavaria, Germany, and settled in Cambria City. Immigrants of working-class families like the Wagners focused their holiday around family and their place of worship, St. Mary’s German-Catholic Church. Come see the traditional decorations and learn more about these traditions on a special holiday-themed, guided tour.

The Wagner-Ritter House is open Tuesdays through Saturdays. When you book your tour online, you’ll choose a date and time that’s convenient for you. Choose Wagner-Ritter House on our booking page — or see all we have to offer with the Johnstown Heritage Pass!
