The Johnstown Flood Museum and Heritage Discovery Center/Johnstown Children’s Museum are open Tues.-Sat. from 10 am-5 pm, and Sun. noon-5 pm (no appointments required).  Please visit the children’s museum COVID protocols page for more information specific to that museum. JAHA at Home: Laurel Highlands Explorers, a new children’s book!

The Johnstown Area Heritage Association (JAHA) is delighted to share The Laurel Highlands Explorers, a children’s book which has been authored and illustrated by area high school students, a project made possible by a $30,000 grant from National Geographic! The book, which is meant for kids K-5, was created by students from Forest Hills Junior-Senior High School, Greater Johnstown High School, and Bishop McCort High School. It follows the story of some curious kids as they embark on a field trip — and discover how curiosity, responsibility, and empowerment. Flip through it below!
