The Heritage Discovery Center/Johnstown Children’s Museum is open 10 am-5 pm Thurs., Fri., and Sat., and Sun. noon-5:00 pm. Please visit the children’s museum COVID protocols page for more information specific to that museum. 1889 Flood Downtown Walking Tour

Johnstown Flood Museum

Nick Wuckovich will conduct the tours, discussing Flood-surviving building and historical areas, sharing photographs, and telling stories.

Nick has compiled photographs of victims and survivors, and pairing them with views of corresponding homes or businesses, as well as first-person accounts. Coupled with a guided view of the actual 1889-surviving buildings in downtown Johnstown, these photographs provide a unique walking tour of “uptown” for museum patrons.

Walking tours will begin at the Johnstown Flood Museum and are $6, or $4 for JAHA members or with museum admission.
