JAHA would like to formally welcome Amy Regan, our new historian! Amy will manage JAHA’s collection and archives, and displays of all artifacts and exhibits while contributing to historical programming and events. While this position is new for Amy, she’s not new to the organization — she has worked at JAHA for over a year in the Johnstown Children’s Museum and the Heritage Discovery Center.

Amy received an M.S. with Merit in history from The University of Edinburgh (Scotland), and is a summa cum laude graduate of The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a B.A. in history, where she was awarded College Scholar in History.

She will be taking over the responsibilities of Andrew Lang, JAHA’s curator, who has accepted a position with Connecticut Historical Society, much closer to his native New York State. Andrew, who joined JAHA in 2018, plans to continue working with us as a volunteer consultant. We thank Andrew for his many contributions to JAHA’s work during his tenure with us, and are grateful for his continued involvement!

We wish Andrew all the best, and welcome Amy to her new position.
