The Johnstown Flood Museum and Heritage Discovery Center/Johnstown Children’s Museum are adopting winter opening hours beginning the week of Jan. 3. We will be open Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 am-5 pm, and Sun. noon-5 pm (closed Tuesday and Wednesday). Because Cambria County is currently experiencing high community spread of COVID-19, we are now requiring staff and visitors to wear masks (face shields alone are not adequate). Please visit the children’s museum COVID protocols page for more information specific to that museum. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Welcome!

Introducing Membership Mondays: A new way of adding value to your JAHA membership

Now more than ever, JAHA is grateful for the support of our members! We miss seeing our members in our museums and at our programs, and are looking forward to the point when we can reopen safely.

Because we haven’t been able to see you in person, the staff has been working diligently from our respective homes to put together content for the public so you can enjoy some of our museum experience from home. We launched JAHA at Home, programming that includes virtual classroom activities, tours, activities, and digitized materials.

We are now introducing a new way of adding value to your JAHA membership: Membership Mondays. In fact, we plan to continue with this new benefit even after our physical locations are open, and our events can resume once more. At least monthly (and sometimes more often), members will receive an email with a link to new, exciting virtual content on our blog – newly digitized images, videos, and more. Some of this content will be member-access only, and some will be sneak peeks of upcoming content, before being released to the general public.

The first Membership Monday post is here!
